The motivation for this site originated from the desire to have a personalised e-mail account. This said the Domain name would need to have a relevance for me. Born and bred in Lincolnshire, which is one of the three Counties making up the Fenlands area of England, I chose FENLANDER.

Having the domain of Fenlander it was only right to put it to good use. There are numerous Web Sites dedicated to the Fenlands and the three Counties that make up the Fenlands. I therefore chose to make this site a gateway of sorts to those sites rather than plagiarize their content.

Fen Places was started from personal memory and self interest and is developing from further suggestions and recommendations of visitors to this site.
